The Redwood used for this coffee table was sourced from a 75-year-old water tower found on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Water towers of that age typically used 800-1200 year old Pacific Northwest giants that no longer exist on the planet for harvesting. The wood’s ancient past combined with the mineral deposits and weathering of its working years makes for the rainbow of colors that can only be found in the old NYC tanks. The legs are made out of 1-inch steel black plumbing pipes.
